"Leaving as a fan"...Fifty Fifty launches legal battle with agency
Members of the group FIFTTY FIFTY begin a legal battle with their agency Attract.
On the afternoon of the 5th, the 50th Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul Central District Court will hold its first interrogation date on the application for an injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract filed by Fifty Pifty (Siwoo, Saena, Aran, and Kina) against its agency Attract (CEO Jeon Hong-joon).
"The four members filed an application for a temporary disposition to suspend the effectiveness of the exclusive contract with the Seoul Central District Court on the 19th," said Yoo Barun, a law firm in charge of legal representation for PFT. This is due to Attract's violation of the contract and the destruction of the trust relationship," he said.
At the time, the members' legal representatives said, "We raised questions about various circumstances in which the attraction did not fulfill its contractual obligations, such as unilaterally trying to enforce it even though it revealed a difficult health condition."
Although the provisional injunction has not begun in earnest, fans' feelings for PFT members are cooling down. The prevailing response is that it is not understood that group members who have debuted less than a year ago choose to break up with their agencies by taking issue with settlement. In particular, some K-pop fans pointed out that the fact that PFT is willing to file a lawsuit even though it has achieved great results such as successfully charting on the U.S. Billboard's main chart hot 100 means that it lacks a sense of partnership with its agency.
Arthur Attract has filed a complaint against Dougie Bus, claiming that "external forces are being identified that induce them to violate the exclusive contract with the company." Attract said, "Dodgebus delayed the takeover in the process of taking over the business, and deleted the company's e-mail account," adding, "We have committed damage, fraud, and professional malpractice such as deleting project-related data."
Meanwhile, FIFTY debuted on November 18 last year with its first mini-album "THE FIFTY."
